Evolution Exhibition

Melbourne Citymission's Frontyard Youth Services have great pleasure in inviting you to the exhibition of the Evolution program - art created by young people who are homeless or are at risk and disengaged from education, training and employment.
The program which embraces all creative skill levels, uses art as an engagement tool while providing assistance to develop pathways back into education and training. For the majority of young people, their participation in the program follows many unsuccessful attempts to reconnect with school or community based programs, making their successful involvement with Evolution all the more significant.
Signal is pleased to invite you to an exhibition of works by young people as part of Evolution. Seven young people have been working for eight weeks with Melbourne artist Clare McCracken in a flexible, supported studio environment to create art and develop their own arts practice.
Exhibition Opening: Thursday 26 April, 6 pm at Signal
Works by:
Britanny Ballin
Kris Davern
Melanie Furze
Gin Hockey
Molly Langdon
Maddie Melkie
Ayschia Shields

The exhibition will run from 26 April until 10 May in the Signal Gallery, open Wednesday – Saturday, 1–5 pm.
Melbourne Citymission
Melbourne Citymission works with people experiencing disadvantage across Melbourne and Victoria. Every week we help thousands of people build a clear pathway away from economic exclusion and social isolation.
Our services support:
- people to find a pathway out of homelessness
- people with a disability to get the resources and support they need to live the life they want
- people to break the cycle of poverty and abuse
- people to find jobs, or enter into education and training.
