It's a WRAP!

Melbourne Citymission has relaunched one of its youth crisis accommodation refuges, the Western Region Accommodation Program (WRAP), after extensive renovations and upgrades.

WRAP now has a new lounge area, new storage room, larger office area, all new kitchenettes in the residents’ rooms and new carpet.

The lounge area also includes a large sliding glass door, bringing in more light and providing better access to the office area at the rear of the property. Outside, landscaping has extended car parking, redeveloped the garden, increased safety with non-slip surfaces and provided power and lighting to the gazebo.

Staff and residents alike are thrilled with the new facilities.

The relaunch event provided a fantastic opportunity to showcase Melbourne Citymission's progressive work to the community. Attendees included residents past and present, Wendy Lovell, State Minister for Housing, Children and Early Childhood Development, Les Twentyman, senior representatives from the Department of Human Services, not to mention a great turn out of Melbourne Citymission staff.

The event was a great success and it wouldn't have been possible without a huge amount of work behind the scenes. A big thank you to all involved.
