Pastoral Care: Aged care
Julie Morris is the full-time Pastoral Care worker/chaplain to Melbourne Citymission’s Retirement Centre in Eltham.
Pastoral Care is concerned with the emotional and spiritual wellbeing of all residents, and their families. The care offered includes specific religious services and rites as well as general support in times of transition and adjustment. To respect every person’s dignity, unique faith and belief (religious or non-religious) and to offer assistance in their search for meaning and fulfilment is our primary goal.
You may wish to see the chaplain in difficult times or for a simple chat,( as someone “neutral” to talk to), for counselling, advice, prayer or celebration of life.
Julie Morris visits the different areas of the Centre at regular intervals.

The Eltham Retirement Centre provides a high standard of affordable retirement accommodation and residential aged care for disadvantaged elderly people in Melbourne’s North.
We work in partnership with residents and the wider community continually striving for excellence in the innovative and positive approach we take to our retirement services for older people.
