Education Employment and Training Assistance (EET)
As part of Creating Connections (Education, Employment and Training) Step Ahead currently provide pre-employment assistance to the young people living or who have connections with the North West region of Melbourne. This EET assistance focuses on young people (16-25) who are homeless or at risk of homelessness and not engaged in education, employment or training.
Assistance can be one off, short term or as part of the WHEELS course.
EET Pathway assistance
This assistance is practical and focuses on the young person’s education, employment and training pathway and can be delivered via co-case management. Step Ahead offer support, advocacy and referral to both agencies and clients to assist with young people’s Education, Employment and Training pathways.
Support is provided via skill development, this can include resume and cover letter writing, job search, occupation/qualification/course information, interview skills and techniques.
