Melbourne Youth Support Service
Melbourne Youth Support Service (MYSS) is a statewide telephone information and referral service for young people aged from 16 to 24, who are homeless or at risk of homelessness.
MYSS acts as an access point for homeless young people.
Who does the program support?
The program is available to:
- young people aged from 16 to 24
- young people who are homeless or at risk of homelessness.
How does the program work?
MYSS is a drop in service where young people can access information about and referrals to:
- accommodation or housing
- food and material aid
- education and training.
MYSS can also:
- provide assistance or advice for young people to deal with Centrelink
- speak on behalf of a young person.
MYSS can link young people to:
- health or legal services
- drug and alcohol services
- counselling and mediation
- financial advice services
- other services at Frontyard.

The service offers face-to-face and telephone services and updates the available crisis youth refuge bed vacancies daily.

Homelessness Accommodation and Support Services provide a range of support to young people, adults and families who are at risk of homelessness or are homelessness.
The aim of Homelessness Accommodation and Support services is to empower service users to work towards independence. We respect and value the decisions of our clients so we can provide the information, advocacy and community links that best meet their needs.
