Boyne Alley (Honorary Treasurer)

Boyne has held senior management and board positions with Myer for over 25 years; was a Chief General Manager of the State Bank of Victoria; held senior finance, IT and administrative positions in World Vision Australia and was an international Vice President of World Vision International. He has lectured in finance at the Mt Eliza Business School, and in governance and law for a number of other professional bodies. He is the former president of the Victorian Division of CPA Australia and a past deputy president of CPA Australia. Currently he is the Treasurer of Light-FM, Trans World Radio and on the board of Baptist Village Baxter.

Joanna Betteridge

Joanna is an employment and occupational health and safety lawyer and was a partner at Maddocks Lawyers for 11 years prior to commencing her own legal consultancy in 2004. She is also an accredited mediator and a Director of BBW Mediations.

Joanna is a graduate member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and a member of the Australian Human Resources Institute OH&S and Risk Management Committee and on the Committee of Management of the Mucopolysaccharide & Related Diseases Society Aust Ltd. Joanna sits on the Board of Austin Health and lectures in workplace law and OH&S for the Law Faculty’s postgraduate program at Monash University. She is a member of the Advisory Panel for the Monash University, Law Faculty, Master of Laws coursework program specialising in Workplace and Employment Law.

Andrew Carter (Vice-Chair)

Andrew is Managing Director of Commercial Eyes Pty Ltd. Commercial Eyes is a leading healthcare consultancy with offices in Melbourne, Sydney and Canberra, and has provided commercialisation services to over 220 local and international clients. In addition to his role at Commercial Eyes, Andrew is a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors; a member of the National Prescribing Service—Medicines Industry Liaison Group; visiting lecturer at the Victorian College of Pharmacy, Monash University and a Councilor of Whitley College, University of Melbourne. Andrew is married to Cynthia, and is an active member of the Camberwell Salvation Army and a passionate member of the Geelong Football Club.

Philip Hunt

Philip Hunt is the Chief Executive of VicRelief Foodbank, the major supplier of food and material aid to the emergency relief sector in Victoria. He had a 23 year career with World Vision including CEO roles in Hong Kong, Australia, and the Middle East and Eastern Europe. Philip also serves on the Boards of Light-FM and TWR Australia. He has a BA (Journalism) and an MBA. He and his wife, Judy, worship at St Paul’s Anglican Church, Boronia.

Joe Morris

Joe has held Executive Officer positions with several community service organisations and foundations. Joe is a Justice of the Peace and is skilled in executive management in the community sector. He was the prior Treasurer and Vice-Chairperson of the Melbourne Citymission Board.

Ros Otzen

Dr Roslyn Otzen, an educationist, was Principal of Korowa Anglican Girls' School 1991-2003. She is currently the Chair of the Grants Committee of the Invergowrie Foundation, the President of Whitley College University of Melbourne, Chair of the Anglican Diocesan Schools Commission, and a member of the Committee of Convocation of the University of Melbourne. She is a Deacon and Secretary of the Collins Street Baptist Church. She is also an active historian, most recently writing the biography of one of the founders of the Melbourne Citymission, Dr John Singleton.

Dr Margaret Watters

Margaret has held positions as Associate Professor, Deputy Chair of the Academic Board and Head of Department of Home Economics at Deakin University. Margaret was a member of the Council of Canterbury Family Centre for 7 years and a member of the Board of Robinson House Women’s Refuge for more than a decade. She was Chair of the Melbourne Citymission Board from October 2004 – September 2007.

Chris White (Chair)

Chris is an actuary who spent most of his career with the International Human Resources and Actuarial Consultancy, Towers Perrin; his final role was MD for Europe. He is presently a director of several companies and an adjunct lecturer in ethics in several colleges and universities.
