Compass Clubhouse

The Compass Clubhouse is operated by and for adults who have experienced an Acquired Brain Injury (ABI) (who are known as the members). The philosophy and governance of the Compass Clubhouse encourages self-determination, self-confidence and self-worth. This is a very new initiative in which the members are involved in all levels of decision-making, including future directions of the Clubhouse.

If you are living with an acquired brain injury (ABI), the Compass Clubhouse can support you to regain life and work skills and participate more meaningfully in the community.

We can work with you if you have an ABI.

How can the program assist me?

The Compass Clubhouse is operated by and for adults who have experienced an ABI (who are known as the members).

The philosophy and governance of the Compass Clubhouse encourages self-determination, self-confidence and self-worth. This is a very new initiative in which the members are involved in all levels of decision-making, including future directions of the Clubhouse.    

The Compass Clubhouse offers:

  • a worthwhile place to come
  • meaningful friendships
  • meaningful work
  • a place to return.
 Please Note:

To be a member of the clubhouse you must:

  • be free of alcohol or non-prescription drugs
  • be willing to attend the Clubhouse a minimum of one day per week
  • be willing to participate in a work ordered day
  • be able to arrange your own transport to get to and from the clubhouse
  • have a healthy respect of self and others
  • be reasonably independent in self care
  • be willing and able to follow Clubhouse standards.

 You also must not be considered a threat to yourself or others.
