The Bridges Program
Based on an individualized plan, Bridges supports adults with a disability to learn news skills that may help them get a job, do meaningful things with their day, continue their education and/or become more independent and/or join recreational services. If you are aged 16 years or over and living with a disability, Bridges can offer you community-based adult training and support.
Is this program for me?
We can work with you if:
- you are aged 16 years or over and have an intellectual disability and/or an associated disability and have access to a Futures funding package.
How can the program assist me?
At Bridges you can learn news skills that may help you:
- get a job
- do meaningful things with your day
- continue your education
- become more independent and/or join recreational services.
Bridges is a supportive place where you can:
- develop your independence
- increase your enjoyment of life.
A similar program for older people with a disability is also available. This program focuses upon free time and recreational activities in the local community.
