Your rights

As a client of Melbourne Citymission you have the right to:

  • services provided by experienced and qualified staff
  • services that are safe and do no harm
  • be treated fairly and with respect, no matter who you are or where you come from
  • be involved in decisions Melbourne Citymission takes makes to support you
  • information about the service you receive, which is explained to you in a way that you understand
  • your personal information being kept private
  • provide feedback, complain and be heard on any issue, at any time. Melbourne Citymission has a written policy that protects your right to complain. It is also our policy that you will not be disadvantaged when you make a complaint
  • be told, understand and agree to Melbourne Citymission sharing your personal information with others who may provide you a service
  • to involve an advocate of your choice.
Your responsibilities

As a client of Melbourne Citymission you should:

  • respect the rights of other service users, staff and the community in general
  • respect the right of staff to a work in a safe environment
  • be responsible for decisions that you make
  • provide details thatinformation to help us provide services towork with you.
