About Us
Melbourne Citymission is a non-denominational organisation established in 1854 to support individuals, families and communities who are marginalised, at risk or experiencing disadvantage.
Our programs and services provide pathways to social and economic participation and independence. Social inclusion lies at the heart of what we do.
These programs include:
- homelessness support,
- employment, education and training,
- family and community links, and
- disability case management.
In Victoria, Melbourne Citymission has pioneered innovative, local responses to disadvantage, building long-term partnerships that benefit the community. We are widely respected for our ability to:
- broker and lead groundbreaking collaborations between communities, government, business and the not-for-profit sectors, and
- address critical social and economic issues in neighbourhoods where poverty, unemployment, abuse and exclusion are entrenched and intergenerational.
Melbourne Citymission builds inclusive communities that overcome disadvantage.
