  • Learner Driver Mentors required (Bayside, City of Port Philip and Stonnington areas)

    Melbourne City Mission is seeking volunteers for their L2P program to help disadvantaged young people gain the mandatory 120 hours of driving practice required to obtain their probationary licences.
    Days & hours required
    Mentors are requested to volunteer for a minimum of 1-2 hours per week between 6am and 10pm, Monday to Sunday.
  • Volunteer Live-In Youth Mentors (Lead Tenant)

    We are seeking live in Lead Tenants to support the Community Integration and Accommodation Options (CIAO) program at Melbourne City Mission. CIAO provides accommodation and support services to young people on statutory orders, aged 15–18 years, and who are transitioning to independent living from Out of Home Care services.
    Days & hours required
    You will live in one of our properties located in Thornbury, Richmond, Fairfield and Pascoe Vale with the young residents for a minimum of five nights per week.
  • Social Media – Network Researcher & Engagement Assistant

    Melbourne City Mission is seeking a Social Media – Network Researcher & Engagement Assistant to help with our Sleep at the 'G event, taking place on Thursday 4 May 2017.
    Days & hours required
    Minimum commitment of 5 hours (up to 10) per week until 12 May 2017. This role is flexible and you are able to work from home from time to time.
  • Befriending the elderly (Community Visitor Scheme)

    We seek volunteers who can commit to building a friendship with an older person living in an aged care home or in their own home who may be lonely and isolated.

  • Become a friend to a person with a disability (Community Friend Program)

    Volunteers are required to assist with a social support program for people with mild/moderate disabilities, primarily in the Northern and Eastern suburbs and in Brimbank in the West. Volunteers are matched to an individual to help them access the community, make new friends and socialise.
