One family's story
One of the families that attend the Hobson's Bay Young Parents group had been evicted from their rental property and as a result were homeless for an eight week period.
To the family's credit they still attended the group, even though the pressure and stress of not knowing from one day to the next where they and their three young children were going to sleep was extreme. The young mother stated "that it (the group) was the only normal thing in her life at the moment and she felt supported by the facilitators and the other group participants"
The only place they could find accommodation was a caravan park in Warrnambool.
