Julie Morris is the full-time pastoral care worker/chaplain to Melbourne Citymission’s retirement centre in Eltham. Pastoral care is concerned with the emotional and spiritual wellbeing of all residents, and their families. The care offered includes specific religious services and rites as well as general support in times of transition and adjustment. Our primary goal is to respect every person’s dignity, unique faith and belief (religious or non-religious) and to offer assistance in their search for meaning and fulfilment.
You may wish to see the chaplain in difficult times or for a simple chat (as someone “neutral” to talk to), for counselling, advice, prayer or the celebration of life. Julie Morris visits the different areas of the centre at regular intervals and can be contacted through the area staff, reception 9431 0100 or by email jmorris@mcm.org.au
