Finding Solutions

Finding Solutions is an adolescent mediation & diversion service. It provides support that assists young people and their families identify and resolve behaviours and issues that are placing their relationship at risk of breakdown.

The Service operates in the North West & Western regions. It offers support to young people between the ages of 12 to 16 years of age and their families.

The aim of the service is to strengthen relationships between the young person and their families. The program helps to reduce the risk of young people entering the out of home care system.

Finding Solutions offers case management, mediation/counselling services that include

Assessment of young person and/or family needs
Creative methods of intervention available i.e. mediation, counselling, outreach, recreation, respite.
Through consultation a support plan is developed
Support plan is implemented to assist young people and/or families to strengthen family and community relationships.

All referrals to Finding Solutions are through DHS Protective Services at point of notification.
