Step Ahead Program
The Step Ahead program seeks to offer a meaningful service for 16-25 years olds, through linking affordable housing with an integrated support program. The model aims to highlight the direct link between how holistic support can lead to securing a satisfying job or employability and how this in turn can lead to a better quality of life. Program participants will be housed in long-term fully furnished self-contained units for up to three years and will receive an ongoing case-managed service and a structured program of learning, focusing upon education and work, independent living, personal and social issues and community and leisure activities.
As well as providing young people who are accommodated within the program with case management support, the Step Ahead program provides pre employment programs and employment education and training resources to young people who are involved in the homelessness service system.
