Melbourne City Mission is in the process of developing our second INNOVATE RAP.

Whilst we are developing our new RAP, we have extended our 2016 Innovate RAP through to July 2019. We have amended this document (in January 2019) to reflect changes in staffing and our new Brand. Otherwise, it remains the original Plan as launched in 2016.

Our vision for reconciliation

Melbourne City Mission’s (MCM’s) vision for reconciliation recognises Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples’ rights as the Traditional Owners of the lands and waterways throughout the country.
We recognise the diverse and dynamic nature of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures and their unique position as the oldest living cultures on the planet.

We look forward to a time when future generations of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people have the same life expectancy, health, wellbeing and opportunities as other Australians. We respect the right of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, groups, organisations and communities to be represented in decision making processes.

We value the opportunity to learn from, and work in respectful long-term partnerships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and their organisations. We are committed to building inclusive communities to overcome disadvantage.
