Chief Executive Officer (CEO)

Vicki has been Chief Executive Officer of Melbourne City Mission since 2016. Vicki’s more than 30 year career has spanned the commercial and not-for-profit sectors, including Royal District Nursing Service, BP and National Australia Bank. For the past 13 years, Vicki has partnered with Boards, CEOs and peers to deliver transformational change and growth in complex and challenging environments.

As CEO of Melbourne City Mission, Vicki counts it a great privilege to be leading the organisation through a new stage in its history, as it adapts to thrive in an emerging marketplace, amid sector reforms putting clients more in control of decisions that impact upon them.


Dave Wells

General Manager – Early Years, Education & Employment

Dave has an extensive range of experience in the community services sector, holding a number of leadership roles within the youth services and education portfolios. Working across a range of organisations in both NZ and Australia has provided Dave with significant exposure to community service models and practices. Dave is keenly aware of the important role education plays from day one of people's lives and throughout their journey. For this reason Dave is passionate about ensuring every individual receives a quality start & a solid education regardless of the situation they are born into, and whatever barriers they come up against. Dave has a Masters in Theology and post graduate qualifications in both philosophy & education.


Deborah Fewster

General Manager – Policy, Public Affairs and Impact​
Deb has more than 20 years experience in issues-rich environments in government, health and social services. She has previously provided strategic advisory on national health reform and managed government and stakeholder relations on complex transport infrastructure projects. Deb leads Melbourne City Mission’s policy engagement and systems advocacy, including media and government relations. She also holds responsibility for research and outcomes measurement and reporting.  Deb is an alumni of the Centre for Australian Progress Fellowship for leaders who build and serve social change movements. She is co-Deputy Chair of the Domestic Violence Resource Centre Victoria.

Fiona Prestedge

General Manager – People & Culture
Fiona has extensive experience as a Human Resources practitioner, having held leadership roles across diverse industry sectors including the oil industry, workforce services, health and utilities. Her experience has encompassed leadership of a range of Human Resource functions comprising Organisational Development, Change Leadership, Employee Relations and Occupational Health & Safety as well as Corporate Support services and Fundraising. Fiona is an alumnus of Leadership Victoria and has post graduate qualifications in Organisational Psychology and Employee Relations. She is also a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and a Chartered Member of the Australian Human Resources Institute.

Jennifer Boulton

General Manager – Disability Services, Early Childhood Intervention Services, Palliative Care
Jennifer has supported people with disability, families and staff in the sector for the past three decades. She has worked with the Department of Human Services, DASSI and Yooralla in senior management roles and has recently returned to Melbourne City Mission. Jennifer has a strong commitment to justice for all citizens and works towards a vision where everyone has equal access to the opportunities that make for a meaningful life. Jennifer has particular expertise in the delivery of case management, residential and community based supports for people with disability.
John Kazanas

John Kazanas

General Manager – Marketing, Fundraising & Communications

John has spent more than 25 years creating success in sales, marketing, communications, PR, innovation and general management. He has created success in various competitive industries including FMCG, services, retail, B2B and B2C markets and held full P&L responsibility. His experience also includes the Not For Profit sector which he is really passionate about including improving the lives of others. Outside of work, John is an Everest summiteer, adventurer, author and motivational speaker. He is qualified with an MBA.


Wayne Merritt

General Manager – Homelessness and Justice

Wayne, brings many years experience to the homelessness portfolio. His previous role as Senior Manager of Integrated Youth Services which incorporates Frontyard Youth Services, a drop in youth service providing support and essential services for those who are homelessness or at risk of becoming homeless in Melbourne's CBD, has provided Wayne with a wealth of experience in our innovative homelessness services space and how we work with young people.
