Vicki Sutton

Chief Executive Officer (CEO)

Vicki has been Chief Executive Officer of Melbourne City Mission since 2016. Vicki’s more than 30 year career has spanned the commercial and not-for-profit sectors, including Royal District Nursing Service, BP and National Australia Bank. For the past 13 years, Vicki has partnered with Boards, CEOs and peers to deliver transformational change and growth in complex and challenging environments.

As CEO of Melbourne City Mission, Vicki counts it a great privilege to be leading the organisation through a new stage in its history, as it adapts to thrive in an emerging marketplace, amid sector reforms putting clients more in control of decisions that impact upon them.


Andrea McLeod

General Manager – Disability, Early Years & Palliative Care
Andrea is a Senior Executive with twenty years in the health arena, fifteen of these at an executive/senior management level. She has extensive knowledge and experience in the public, private, and not-for-profit sectors, in both large and small organisations. 

Her successes include two significant organisation restructures leading to improved operational performance; leading a merger/acquisition of two not-for-profit disability organisations in NZ which resulted in service expansion and increased revenue; and through stakeholder engagement and robust negotiation skills secured new revenue streams leading to diversification of funding and financial sustainability.

Andrew Sherri

General Manager – Corporate Services
Andrew has worked in a wide range of industries including: Not For Profit Health Care; Recruitment Servcies; Technology Services; Gaming and Entertainment; Financial Services; and Manufacturing.

He has a reputation for mobilising and motivating finance teams to support robust governance structures, as well being a trusted advisor within growing businesses. Andrew is an influential contributor at the executive level, working collaboratively with the leadership team in driving future expansion and improvement projects across the business. 

Andrew has proven results in leading and executing major business change programmes and executing successful business strategies.

Dave Wells

General Manager – Innovation, Impact and Government Affairs

Dave has extensive experience in the community services sector, holding a number of leadership roles within the youth services and education portfolios. Working across a range of organisations in both NZ and Australia has provided Dave with significant exposure to community service models and practices.

Dave’s leadership has included service delivery in issues-rich environments across NZ and Australia in education, children and family, and general community services.

Dave has a rich understanding in how government affairs, innovation and impact (including client outcomes) can synergise, to enhance the work of Melbourne City Mission; whilst also ensuring the organisation is leading the way in practice and program models for the services sector across Victoria.


Fiona Prestedge

General Manager – People & Culture
Fiona has extensive experience as a Human Resources practitioner, having held leadership roles across diverse industry sectors including the oil industry, workforce services, health and utilities. Her experience has encompassed leadership of a range of Human Resource functions comprising Organisational Development, Change Leadership, Employee Relations and Occupational Health & Safety as well as Corporate Support services and Fundraising. Fiona is an alumnus of Leadership Victoria and has post graduate qualifications in Organisational Psychology and Employee Relations. She is also a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and a Chartered Member of the Australian Human Resources Institute.

John Kazanas

General Manager – Marketing, Fundraising & Communications

John has spent more than 25 years creating success in sales, marketing, communications, PR, innovation and general management. He has created success in various competitive industries including FMCG, services, retail, B2B and B2C markets and held full P&L responsibility. His experience also includes the Not For Profit sector which he is really passionate about including improving the lives of others. Outside of work, John is an Everest summiteer, adventurer, author and motivational speaker. He is qualified with an MBA.

Tim Knowles

Tim Knowles

Principal: The Hester Hornbrook Academy

Tim is an educational leader who is passionate about the virtues of flexible education initiatives and supporting young people who struggle to engage in traditional education settings.

Tim has taught in a range of learning environments including the country wilderness of Canada, residential outdoor education centres, boarding schools, vocational focussed programs, and mainstream schools in both the State and Independent Education systems.

Tim’s role draws upon his diverse career experiences to help design and support teaching and learning environments which encourage all students to achieve their potential, experience success and feel like they are a valued part of a school community.


Wayne Merritt

General Manager – Homelessness and Justice

Wayne, brings many years experience to the homelessness portfolio. His previous role as Senior Manager of Integrated Youth Services which incorporates Frontyard Youth Services, a drop in youth service providing support and essential services for those who are homelessness or at risk of becoming homeless in Melbourne's CBD, has provided Wayne with a wealth of experience in our innovative homelessness services space and how we work with young people.
