Childcare, early learning and kindergarten in Brunswick
Hartnett House is a hidden gem in the heart of Brunswick, providing long-day care, sessional care and kindergarten programs for children aged six-weeks to six years.
Friendly, welcoming, modern centre
Hartnett House combines the features of a heritage building with newly renovated, modern, engaging classrooms and large outdoor play areas. Located on Albion Street in Brunswick, Hartnett House is ideally located for commuting to work, with both train and tram stops a short walk from the centre and a big carpark at the back.
Over $700,000 in State Government funded renovations have recently been completed to provide Hartnett House with additional classrooms, an indoor courtyard, a new community education room and refurbishments throughout the centre.
One of the biggest backyards in Brunswick
While we haven’t measured everyone’s yard, we think our outdoor play areas are some of the largest in the area. Our age-based outdoor play spaces are the perfect setting for adventures, learning and fun. Each zone features age-appropriate toys, equipment and sensory experiences.
Learning through play
Our experienced early childhood educators deliver a play-based curriculum that is designed to support every child to develop their own natural curiosity, enjoyment and confidence.
Our programs are aligned to the National Early Years Learning Framework and we embrace the latest research and teaching methods to continually improve our engaging, evidence-based programs.
Flexibility for your child’s interests and needs
At Hartnett House, we work in partnership with you and your child to build the best program for your child’s needs, interests and culture.
From sleep and feed times through to important cultural celebrations, we take the time to get to know your child and your family so we can welcome and support you as part of our community.
Our on-site cook prepares five fresh, nutritionally balanced meals daily: breakfast, morning tea, lunch, afternoon tea and late snack. We take special care to cater to food allergies and intolerances.
Choice of session times to maximise your funding
We offer a choice of session times so you can maximise your Child Care Subsidy (CCS) funding hours and reduce your out of pocket costs. Our 9-hour, 10-hour and all day session options allow you to select the care that best meets your needs.
Specialised additional support available on-site
