Hand Up for the Homeless - Change lives today

Tonight over 6400 children - our kids - do not have anywhere to call home. Together we can change this. This August we are asking you to make a real difference to the lives thousands of young Victorians. Read What Homelessness really looks like for these young people.

For nearly twenty years Melbourne Citymission has asked you to sleep out or wear your PJs to raise funds and awareness of the issue of homelesness. This year, we are making it even easier for you.

Yes you can host a Winter Sleepout or a PJ Day, but really it is about doing something that suits you, something that will make a difference and change the lives of thousands of young people experiencing homelessness every day.

What are other people doing?

People of all ages are raising funds throughout the month of August - and having a great time while doing it too. These are just a few examples of the events they are hosting:

  • Winter Sleepouts
  • PJ Days
  • Workplace morning teas
  • Movie nights
  • Sausage sizzles
  • Casual/crazy dress days
