Liz Bishop

Chief Operating Officer

Liz has worked in the disability sector for over 30 years in a variety of leadership and management roles. Liz has qualifications in management & leadership, including a Graduate Diploma of Business from RMIT, and a Certificate in Association Management. Liz completed the Williamson Community Leadership Program through Leadership Victoria in 2002 and gained the Victorian Harvard Club Scholarship to participate in the Strategic Perspectives in not-for-profit Management (SPNM) short course in 2008 at Harvard University. Liz has also been a board member of a number of NFPs and Peak bodies, including National Disability Services & Arts Project Australia. 


Andrew Moore

Director of Finance

Andrew commenced with Melbourne City Mission in June 2009 bringing over 30 years' financial management experience to the organisation. Andrew previously held leadership and senior client service roles at Ernst and Young where he gained knowledge and experience working with a broad client base across the not-for-profit, corporate and public sectors. Andrew completed a Bachelor of Economics at Monash University and is a member of The Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia.



Dave Wells

Director of Early Years, Education & Employment

Dave has an extensive range of experience in the community services sector, holding a number of leadership roles within the youth services & education portfolios. Working across a range of organisations in both NZ and Australia has provided Dave with significant exposure to community service models & practices. Dave is keenly aware of the important role education plays from day one of people's lives and throughout their journey. For this reason Dave is passionate about ensuring every individual receives a quality start & a solid education regardless of the situation they are born into, and whatever barriers they come up against. Dave has a Masters in Theology and post graduate qualifications in both philosophy & education.


Jennifer Boulton

Director of Disability Services & Palliative Care
Jennifer has supported people with disability, families and staff in the sector for the past three decades. She has worked with the Department of Human Services, DASSI and Yooralla in senior management roles and has recently returned to Melbourne City Mission. Jennifer has a strong commitment to justice for all citizens and works towards a vision where everyone has equal access to the opportunities that make for a meaningful life. Jennifer has particular expertise in the delivery of case management, residential and community based supports for people with disability.



Sherri Bruinhout

Director of Homelessness and Justice Services

Sherri brings over twenty years experience to the homelessness portfolio. She has worked in government and non-government settings, contributing to the youth homelessness, affordable housing and community inclusion sectors. Sherri has responsibility for Melbourne City Mission’s crisis accommodation, homelessness support services, justice and youth/family connections programs.  Prior to this role, Sherri managed Frontyard Youth Services, leading a diverse team in presenting ‘joined-up’ solutions to young people experiencing homelessness. Sherri holds a Bachelor of Arts in Youth Affairs and post graduate studies in Education.

Mary Scott

Mary Scott

Director People & Culture

Mary brings proven leadership and change management skills and an outstanding record in human resources management. She is instrumental in establishing KPI's, creating tools and resources for managers, providing education, mentoring, one-on-one coaching and implementing systems to ensure the well-being of staff and volunteers. Mary has demonstrated her ability to build strong, positive relationships with internal stakeholders, has an approachable and open leadership style and manages to bring out the best in people. Mary has a Certificate IV in Project Management, a Graduate Diploma in Business Administration (Human Resource Management) and a Masters in Employment Law.
